In an impressive showcase of literary prowess, the 2023 Arab Reading Challenge culminated in a celebration of excellence at the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco. During the event, the Souss-Massa region shone brightly, highlighted by the remarkable achievement of Oumaima Shani, a standout special needs student from Inzegan Ait Melloul, who clinched second place nationally. This reading competition in Morocco not only fosters a culture of reading among youth but also champions inclusivity, enabling students like Oumaima to shine through their hard work and dedication. With 236,493 participants this year, including a significant number of young women, the Arab Reading Challenge has become a pivotal platform for inspiring a new generation of readers across the region.
